Scrub Island Invitational set for March 27th

Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, a private-island resort in the British Virgin Islands, will host the Scrub Island Invitational during the 48thAnnual BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival (March 25-31, 2019). The resort is the hosting sponsor for the springtime event, which takes place Wednesday, March 27 and is expected to draw up to 50 boats to compete in a race from Nanny Cay Marina to Scrub Island.

“We’re especially excited to be hosting the Scrub Island Invitational again, after taking a year off to undergo renovations in the summer of 2018,” said Joe Collier, president of Mainsail Lodging & Development, the owner and operator of the resort. “Now that we’re back up and running, we welcome the opportunity to host this great event again and showcase how our resort and our marina have been fully restored to their original grandeur.”

“Thanks to the energy and spirit of sailing in the BVIs, it will take more than category five hurricanes to keep people from coming back to sail and race,” said Judy Petz, BVI Spring Regatta Director. “We are open, ready, and excited to welcome sailors from around the world to come for the first time or back again.”

Always an exclusive getaway, Scrub Island Resort Spa & Marina,  offers private-island luxury now more than ever, with crystal-clear water, pristine beaches and crowd-free vacationing.  Coldwell Banker BVI is delighted to invite you to enjoying us to celebrate the 48th edition of BVI sailing festival,   See you here!!!
