Rosewood Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda will reopen in January 2020 and is taking reservations now.
The resort, comprised of 80 new rooms, villas and suites — including treehouse suites and pool suites — was opened by Laurance Rockefeller in 1964. Little Dix closed for a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2016, but the planned reopening was delayed by Hurricane Irma, which caused widespread destruction in the British Virgin Islands in September 2017.
The resort will have four open-air dining outlets, two pools, the Sense Spa set on a bluff at the cliff’s edge, a half mile of beach and a range of outdoor activities, including hiking trails and guided hikes, a tennis center, sailing and the Rosewood Explorers Club for kids.
Rates start at 1,500 per night for an oceanview cottage.
