Governor Boyd Mc Cleary and family, along with the Premier Dr. the Honorable D. Orlando Smith, joined staff, patients, and friends at this year’s Peebles Hospital Christmas programme, continuing a long standing tradition.
Opening the proceedings, Hospital Nursing Director, Ms. Jascinth Campbell-Hannibal, gave apologies on behalf of the Leader of the Opposition Honorable Ralph T. O’Neal, who was absent, due to being ill. She asked that persons hold him in their hearts, and to send prayers during this time.
Governor Boyd Mc Cleary brought season’s greetings, as he expressed his pleasure, along with his wife Jenny and daughter Emily, in being able to join in the tradition this year. ‘It is important to remember those who are here, and to make it a happy day as it can be for them.’
The Honorable Premier, expressed his thanks to the Governor and his family, as well as to all who were in attendance. He specially noted, long standing attendants; Mr. Elton Georges, Ms. Margaret Bord and Teacher Inez Turnbull. ‘I have been coming here for many years and I am happy to be here this year. Christmas is a time when everyone should get together and forgive, it is a time to heal, as we move forward towards the New Year.’ The Premier said.
Gratitude was expressed to Morgan and Morgan Trust Corporation Ltd., Mossack Fonseca & Co. (BVI) Ltd. National Bank of the Virgin Islands, SOL SLU Ltd., Smith’s Ferry, First Bank of the Virgin Islands, Mr. Glenroy Forbes, and the Honorable Ralph T.
