The Elmore Stoutt High School Spring Concert decided to end this years concert with fungi music , thrilling the crowd which was made up of those who are lucky enough to live in TORTOLA RENTALS
and also included Premier Dr. D. Orlando Smith and the visiting Chairman of the Overseas Countries and Territories Association, Mr. Stephanie Artano.
The junior steel band opened the concert with two numbers, R. Kelly's 'I believe I can fly' and and a soca performance of 'Chippin down the road'.
All night, the patrons tapped their feet to the presentations which came from the school choir, junior and senior concert bands, Phoenix Reloaded and the senior steel band.
As the concert was being held on the eve of Mother's Day, Ms. Lelia Burke, head of the ESHS Music Department, received a special gift for being 'the mother of the music department'.
As the evening came to a close, fungi music filled the hall from a reunion band of past students and former band director, Mr. Arthur Selwood.
In a superb finale, Premier Smith, Mr. Artano and his team along with deputy Premier, Hon. Dr. Kedrick Pickering joined the students on the stage to dance to the song, 'Merengue'.
